Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 October 2026
This website is a personal portfolio run by Sanithu Herath
(“I”, “me”) in Sri Lanka. This page explains
what information the site collects, why, and what happens to it.
I’ve tried to keep it short and in plain language.
1. What I collect
Information you send me. If you use the contact form, I receive
the name, email address and message you type in. You choose what to
share, and nothing is sent unless you press “Send
message”.
Technical information. When you visit, your browser
automatically sends technical details such as your IP address, device
and browser type, and the pages you request. My hosting provider and
the services listed below receive this as part of delivering the site.
I don’t use it to identify you personally.
2. How I use it
- To read and reply to your message.
- To keep the site working and secure.
-
To show ads through Google AdSense (see “Ads and
cookies” below).
I don’t sell your personal information, and I don’t use
your message for marketing.
3. Ads and cookies
This site doesn’t set its own cookies and I don’t run my
own analytics. It does use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its
partners may use cookies and similar technologies, including
advertising identifiers, to serve ads, to show ads based on your
earlier visits to this or other websites, to measure ads and to
prevent fraud.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The
site will still work, but the ads you see may be less relevant.
4. Services this site uses
-
Web3Forms delivers contact form messages to my inbox. Your
name, email address and message pass through their servers.
-
Google Fonts supplies the site’s typeface (DM Sans).
Your browser connects to Google’s servers to download it,
which shares your IP address with Google.
-
Google AdSense provides advertising, as described above.
-
My hosting provider serves the site’s files and may
keep standard server logs.
-
Instagram and TikTok are linked from the footer. When you
click, you leave this site and their own policies apply.
Each of these services has its own privacy policy, which you can read
on their websites.
5. Work samples
The Work Projects section shows examples of design work made for a
company. These samples include business contact details, such as a
company email address, phone numbers and an address, that belong to
that company and appear only as part of the artwork.
6. How long I keep your information
Messages stay in my email inbox only for as long as I need them to
reply and to keep a record of our conversation. If you’d like me
to delete your message, just ask.
7. Your choices and rights
You can ask me what information I hold about you, ask me to correct or
delete it, or ask me to stop using it. Depending on where you live
(for example the EU, the UK or Sri Lanka), you may have additional
rights under local data protection law, and I’ll respect them as
far as they apply to me. To make a request, use the
contact form.
8. Security
I take reasonable steps to protect what you send me, including using a
form service that sends your message over an encrypted (HTTPS)
connection. No website or online service is completely secure, so I
can’t guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
This website isn’t aimed at children, and I don’t
knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you
think a child has sent me information, tell me and I’ll delete
it.
10. Changes to this policy
I may update this page from time to time. The date at the top shows
when it was last changed.
11. Contact
Questions about this policy? Send me a message through the
contact form.
